DOP & PAT Testing in Wimborne Road, Poole, Dorset

Envirochem visited a local asbestos removal company to test various pieces of equipment to ensure they are safe for use on site.

All equipment which contains a HEPA filter requires a DOP test every 6 months to ensure the filter is still working efficiently. Envirochem was required to attend a local asbestos removal company in Poole named Asbestos Contracting Limited to inspect and test some of their equipment which was due for inspection. Asbestos Contracting Limited had 4 Negative Pressure Units and 2 H Type Vacuum cleaners which required testing. Whilst on their premises, various pieces of site equipment such as transformers, breakers etc. required PAT testing. All equipment was labelled and certificates were provided for each piece of equipment tested.

Envirochem Now Offer DOP Testing

Envirochem now offer on-site Dispersed Oil Particulate (DOP) Testing.

High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters are designed to remove fibres and particles from the environment.

HEPA filters require regular maintenance and validation.

DOP testing is an essential part of this and is used to determine if the performance and integrity of the HEPA filter is of an acceptable standard, identifying if there are any leaks present within the filter, frame or seals.

All equipment containing HEPA filters (e.g. Negative Pressure Units and ‘H’ Type vacuum cleaners) must be tested every 6 months, and if the filter has been replaced or the equipment has been dropped or damaged in any way.

As part of a DOP test, Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) and air flow testing is required. Once tested, a certificate is issued and each piece of equipment labelled.
