Steve is the Quality Manager at Envirochem, bringing 19 years of extensive experience and expertise in asbestos management and quality assurance. Starting his career as an asbestos analyst conducting air testing, Steve progressed through various roles within the company, eventually taking on the pivotal role of Quality Manager.
In his current position, Steve operates Envirochem’s quality control scheme in strict accordance with British standards, organises quality audits and system reviews, and ensures the quality manual remains up-to-date with all relevant regulations and guidelines. He is also responsible for method development for new test methods, continuously reviewing guidance and retraining staff to maintain compliance and operational excellence.
As the lead trainer for BOHS courses at Envirochem, Steve delivers comprehensive training for P401 to P405 modules and played a key role in rewriting course handbooks following the update to HSG 248:2021. He also provides a range of awareness courses and qualifications to both internal and external personnel, ensuring industry-leading standards of education and compliance.
With a deep understanding of the asbestos industry and the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, Steve has been involved in high-profile projects with clients such as the University of Southampton, University of Reading, Fawley Power Station, Langstone Technology Park, and Air Canada. His commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety is instrumental in upholding Envirochem’s reputation as a trusted leader in environmental consultancy and testing.
