Project Scope

Small jobs to large decommissioning projects

Envirochem also assists with the on-going management of asbestos containing materials at the University of Southampton. Providing a personalized & tailored service, Envirochem assist our client in up loading the data gathered from surveys and asbestos removal works onto their computer management software (PLANON), which is utilized by university staff and subcontractors across their entire multi-campus site as a means of managing known asbestos containing materials.

Envirochem carried out invasive asbestos demolition surveys for all the buildings within the Boldrewood campus that were due for decommissioning and demolition. Envirochem carried out chemical sampling of high risk former laboratory areas, and advised, designed and supervised the chemical clean process to facilitate the decommissioning process.

The asbestos survey utilized teams of highly experienced surveyors to fulfill the requirements of our client. Teams of surveyors systematically surveyed each area of the building, providing level by level reports, creating a thorough, easy to understand report.

We then provided full time analytical support during a 4 month asbestos removal process. All types of air monitoring were undertaken, which involved over 40 asbestos removal specialists working on site per day. Weekly progress meetings, involving detailed presentations to the local residence committee on the asbestos removal and monitoring processes were also carried out by our site team.
