Project Highlights

Over the last 10 years, Envirochem have been responsible for managing the asbestos at Langstone Technology Park, including the reassessment of the Asbestos containing materials, organising remedial and asbestos removal work, along with analytical monitoring during these works and the provision of asbestos awareness training to ensure the maintenance team observe best practice at all times. Additional services include undertaking refurbishment surveys of various areas to ensure refurbishment projects are carried out safely and within the timescales required by the client.

Project Description

Langstone Technology Park consists of seven main buildings that are occupied by tenants, with Fasset Business and Property Solutions managing and maintaining these areas. Envirochem have offered a range of managerial services, including providing quotes for removal work with project management of these works, reassessment services and providing impartial and independent advice to ensure the asbestos is managed correct. 

Project Scope

Recently Envirochem has provided a number of services including refurbishment asbestos survey of the toilets in Building 1000, to allow the update of these areas. The survey identified a number of asbestos containing materials, mainly textured coatings to wall. Envirochem organised the removal  /   enabling   works   to   allow   the  main contractor to work safely around these materials. Due to a number of these toilets needing to remain open for use by the tenants, the works were organised in close conjunction with all parties to ensure site attendance was present exactly when the refurbishment project required to reduce any stoppages during the project.
