Controlled Demolition at Fawley Power Station

Last week our analysts supported Brown and mason in the controlled demolition of another building at the Fawley Power Station.

 

Envirochem’s expert analysts were on site carrying out perimeter monitoring during the demolition and then we will now be monitoring whilst the rubble is cleared to ensure all safety measures are met.

Lead in Paint

It’s not just walls that could contain Lead in paint– it is most likely found on railings, doors and window frames. Test the paint in your home with our self-test kits or have one of our team come out to your site and do the sampling for you. The samples will then be analysis by our in-house UKAS accredited lab.

  • P403 – ASBESTOS FIBRE COUNTING (PCM) – (INCLUDING SAMPLING STRATEGIES)

    Theoretical and practical knowledge in the techniques of fibre counting of asbestos air samples using phase contrast microscopy.

  • P404 – AIR SAMPLING AND CLEARANCE TESTING OF ASBESTOS

    Theoretical and practical knowledge in the techniques of air sampling and clearance testing of asbestos during removal work.

  • P405 – MANAGEMENT OF ASBESTOS IN BUILDINGS

    Practical knowledge and skills to manage asbestos in buildings and audit asbestos removal projects.

We’re Expanding Our Occupational Hygiene Department!

Here at Envirochem, we’re expanding our Occupational Hygiene Department and are pleased to welcome our new Head of Department Sam, along with a new Van to add to the fleet.

  • Local exhaust ventilation (LEV) testing – (LEV) checks help control the release of hazardous airborne substances from a process into the workplace environment.

 

  • Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) testing – The main aim of VOC analysis is to identify the types of VOCs present and their concentrations in work place environment.

 

  • Emissions testing for stack monitoring to technical guidance notes M1 and M2.

Asbestos Air Monitoring and Fibre Counting

Our growing fleet of asbestos analysts are provided with fully equipped mobile laboratories allowing for on-site analysis of air samples and instant certification upon completion of analytical monitoring.

Whilst the majority of our workload is undertaken during normal working hours from Monday to Friday, our team of analysts are available for overnight and weekend work. We will always endeavour to assist at short notice with any local emergency situations which may arise.

Case Study – Management Surveys For BMW Group

Envirochem were recently commissioned by our valued client BMW Group to undertake management surveys across a network of buildings and plants used by the BMW Group;

Project Highlights:

Envirochem were responsible for organising all consultation and analytical works relating to the identification of specified materials within the buildings. Our work and advice ensured that the BMW Group maintained its high standards and staff were able to operate in a safe and controlled environment.

Project description:

As expert consultants to the BMW Group, Envirochem were charged with identifying specified materials across a network of buildings and plants used by the BMW Group. All products identified and located then had to be managed.

Envirochem carried out a management survey producing a detailed spreadsheet of negative and positive samples along with a management plan for BMW Group.

Our Services – Open for Business As Usual.

Envirochem is continuing to provide “business as usual” services for clients from its laboratories in Fareham and Bristol.

The labs will continue to analyse samples on behalf of clients and new customers during the current Covid-19 pandemic. The company will be adapting to any changes as and when the government requires it.
